History is Made
Since the arrival of Jean Hasbrouck, then Abraham, to New York, generations of the family have spread across the continent. How fortunate we are to have the two New Paltz houses as museums. Several other houses, notable for their history are located near New Paltz.

Looking back to France, the city of Hazebrouck is noteworthy for its name and history.

Abraham [Daniel] Hasbrouck House

Located on Huguenot Street, in New Paltz, NY, Abraham's son, Daniel, built the house beginning in 1721.

Jean [Jacob] Hasbrouck House
Old timers will recall this being called 'The Memorial House', as it was the first house purchased by what is now known as Historic Huguenot Street for the preservation of Huguenot heritage.

Locust Lawn
The mansion built in 1814 by Col. Josiah and Sarah Decker Hasbrouck in Gardner, NY is a fine example of Federal architecture.

Col. Jonathan Hasbrouck House
Located in Newburgh, this house was made famous during the last seventeen months of the American Revolution as the headquarters for General George Washington.
